Signs of Spring.

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

We played outside today for over TWO HOURS!  It was fantastic.  And perhaps “played” is a relative term for me.  I didn’t really play.  The kids did.  I raked the grass back from it’s heavily snow-matted condition.  And I only did a couple sections of the yard, because it’s not fun.  But it did make those sections of the yard so much prettier.

Tara and Tim played.  We happen to live on a down hill part of the street.  So, if you head one house to the south, you can ride your bike four houses north and never pedal because of the awesome speed provided by the hill.  It’s a great source of entertainment.

Tara’s new bike came outside for it’s maiden voyage.  All was well, and it has a new home in the garage (considerably better than the dining room where it has dwelt since Christmas).  Tim talked me into hauling his ride-on yellow dump truck out of the shed.  And fun was had by all.

You can even sort of see the rake line in the grass. Fruits of my labor.

She loves that new bike. And her old one looks so tiny now...

Tim...on one of his trips down the hill.

Other than giggling at Tara and Tim, my greatest joy was this discovery:

Daffodils. They really are coming.

All 100 of them that I planted last fall...

A whole day of signs of Spring.
