Well. Tomorrow is Epiphany. That will officially end the Christmas season for another year. I suppose it’s cliche to say, “How did that happen? Where did the time go?” But still.
For whatever reason this year, I took almost no pictures to document all that we did. Really. Almost none. Regardless, here’s the skinny:
Tim’s preschool Christmas program. Adorable as all preschool programs are. And, he stayed up there the whole time and sang all the songs, and did most of the hand actions. And then ate cookies.
Pictures of the Royuk Grandkids for a present for Grandpa and Grandma. I even made them do an “artsy” shot which I gave them all permission to make fun of me for later.
Christmas with the Pesters on Christmas Eve. Tim spent the night playing with cousin Tyler – who is FANTASTIC at playing with him despite the 7 year age gap. Tara played Strawberry Shortcake dolls with cousin Haylee (only a 19 day age difference.).
Christmas morning at home. I didn’t take a single picture. I have no idea how that happened. But Tara received her most prized American Girl doll named Emily. Emily will probably warrant her own post. Tim got more Lightning McQueen things, which delighted him.
Christmas Day with the Royuks. Again. Not a single picture. Well, not of that day. I did take a picture of the installation of the new TV that Brad, Lloyd & Lauren and Curt got for us. Er…for themselves to watch when they come to our house so they no longer have to watch our dinosaur TV.
Thanks Friends!
Then Mom, Brad and I completely primed, painted and rearranged our basement. This warrants its own post, as well.
Hotel night! No pics.
New Year’s Eve! No pics.
New Year’s Day! No pics.
Tim’s Half-Birthday! No pics.
What has become of me?

Bad news, friend. I’m rubbing off on you.
Sorry ’bout that.
Love the rosy cheeked boy. So sweet. Thanks again for a fun evening last night. L’s been playing with his cars and P won’t put the teddy bear down.
Ha! It was fun to be there for the crazy picture of the cousins holding hands. They were really good sports. And I think you’re well on your way to being called “Crazy Aunt Beth”. It should be a fun name to try to live up to.
Excellent pictures, as always!
And of course, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the holding hands one. Isn’t there something really special about ‘back’ shots. Maybe you could make this a yearly tradition until they’re grown…..if they’ll do it.
Glad you had a wonderful holiday!
Great pictures, Beth.
We’re “researching” a new TV for ourselves as well. Mine is from 1994, fresh out of college. So here some questions for you or the committee that picked out the TV.
1. What size is the TV?
2. How far away do you normally sit to watch it?
3. Did you go with LCD or LED and why?
4. What else should I know when picking out a new TV?
Ahem. Lloyd, Lauren, Brad, Curt. You’ve seen the t.v. in our basement. That’s all I have to say.
If I recall correctly, your birthday is in March. So is Charles. That’s a long to wait, tough.
I have also heard that great TV sales will happen later this month in anticipation of 1) The Super bowl and 2) The new inventory of TVs.
The line should read: That’s a long time to wait, though.
I’m sympathetic to you, Deborah, really I am. I didn’t mean to put “tough” instead of “though. “
I think it’s ok to not take a picture of everything. I have thousands of pictures stored on my computer, and with the exception of the ones for the preschool kids, most of the rest are ridiculous. One website I visit tells the story of the lady trying to get a great picture of a giant flock of birds and her friend yelled at her, “Put down your camera! See it with your soul!” I’m on board with that.
