Random thoughts.

The week after Mother’s Day was spent putting an entire course online.  I haven’t ever taught an online course (though I’ve been a student in several), so we’ll see how this goes.  I’m excited.  I hope it isn’t a complete train wreck.

Tim nearly ripped the top of his toe (toenail included) off.  It was nasty.  And it sort of ruined my planned night without kids.  But my friend Laurie rescued the evening by coming to  eat Chinese with me, and all was well.

Tim’s toe is much better looking now.  I can’t tell if he’ll lose his nail.

The end of Survivor was anticlimactic for me.  Turns out when my favorites are gone I don’t really care anymore.

Church with small children is hard.  It’s even harder when you accidentally sit by someone who spends a lot of time glancing over their shoulder like we have dirty-rotten-children.

I’m going to help Laurie paint her living room today.  YAY!  I love painting.  And being with friends.  And being helpful all at the same time.

I’m an extrovert.  Really, really, really extroverted.

Harold’s probably going to be the Head Football coach at Central next year.

I bought new nail polish.  And a new camera.  They were my splurges in celebration of getting that class online.  And the ensuing paychecks as a result of doing so.

I slept for 6 hours in a row last night.  Without.  Waking.  Up.  I don’t remember the last time that happened.  It was glorious.

Our house is going to be on The Parade of Homes this coming December.  I’m very excited about it.  Because I love this kind of stuff.  And while I didn’t think I really had a “list” of things to get done before then, perhaps I do.  Just yesterday I was thinking how I might make new kitchen curtains.  And how I need to touch up paint.  And how I want to get a new UpperCase Living phrase for that weird spot on the way down the stairs.  And how I’m excited to get the carpet stretched.  And how maybe we really could get new kitchen flooring.  And…  See.  Apparently I have a list.

So far, 5 has been a very good age for Tara.  I like 5.

Tim has been potty trained since January, but just the last three days he has been insisting that he go potty By. Him.  Self.  Which is so pride-inducing.  Even when he accidentally pees all over his shirt.

I need to paint my toenails.

Last night’s episode of House was really good.  But I totally think he was hallucinating the end scene.

I need to get walking.  It’s getting late…

Gah! I didn’t watch House yet! But it’s really okay… the way they do previews anymore, I always feel like I’ve watched the entire episode already.

I like people, but I am really not an extrovert. Sitting at home watching TV or working by myself in the garden… that’s my kind of fun.

I hardly ever pee on my shirt any more.

  2. Peggy says:

Congratulations Harold! Congratulations Tim! On the peeing not the toe…why didn’t you post about the toe…poor thing…I bet that makes a wicked picture!

If I fly you out here, will you help me paint my house? I don’t care for it that much…and I need to do it.

I’m an introvert whenever I take those tests, but I like people…well, not all of them.

What is The Parade of Homes?

  3. Lauren says:

Phoo on the people who give dirty looks at church. You’re there with your kids and they should be glad.

Paint those toes. Those walls, too!

And, as always, pee is sterile.

  4. Curt says:

So who was your favorite to win Survivor?

  5. Beth says:

I like JT. And I would have been ok even with Rupert. And I like Colby.

By the final 5, I was merely rooting against Russell and Parvati. As long as neither of them won, I was ok.
