Tara’s birthday Wrap-up 2010.

So.  It’s already been ten days of Tara being 5.  And so far, I really like 5.

Here’s the day in pictures:

Opening presents in the morning.  She was kind enough to get up at 6:40 before Daddy left for school so he didn’t miss anything.  Sweet girl.  (*that was sarcasm, it’s very hard to write in sarcastic tone of print*)
Strawberry Shortcake and Barbie were the main events this year.

Then a pizza dinner at Godfather’s.  Grandpa and Grandma Pester, Grandpa and Grandma Royuk, Uncle Brent, Aunt Sandra, Daniel and Anna, Mr. and Mrs. Sommerer, Mommy and Daddy.  What a fun dinner!
Opening cool presents.

The card cousin Anna brought for Tara.  It was worthy of its own picture.  Because the exchange between an 8 year old and a 5 year old is brilliant.
Seriously.

Cupcakes at home after pizza.
She blew the candle out too fast for me to get an action shot.

The prized birthday present.  A Barbie two-wheel scooter.  Complete with an attachable Barbie scooter on the front for Corrine, her new 3-Musketeers Barbie.
Pure Joy.

And then the next day celebration at Chuck E. Cheese with some friends:

Clockwise from the bottom left: Eva, Tara, Kayla, Tim, Luke, Alex (not visible), Seth, Adi (not visible), Ben, Grace. Tara's best friends. We're a blessed family to have good friends for our kids.

Happy Birthday beautiful Tara!!

(Stay tuned for a new recipe coming up in the next post!  It’s been a while, yes?)

That card is a riot! What an amazing string of celebrations – she’s a lucky girl. :)

  2. Brad says:

Mmm… 3 Musketeers Barbie… That sounds delicious. But my favorite would be Twix Barbie, or Chewy Sweettarts Barbie, depending on the day.

(What the heck is a 3 Musketeers Barbie?)

  3. Lauren says:

I’ll tell you how I know about 3 Musketeers Barbie – from a terrible, terrible children’s book. (Being a Musketeer is one of her latest professions.)

The people who make children’s movies and television shows into books should be locked up somewhere.

Way to get Tara used to multiple days of Celebration!! :)

It looks like a yummy time was had by all!!
