Busy Day.

This past Sunday was full.  Really full.  And fun.

Our new Goddaughter Paige was baptized.

DO all 2-year 0ld boys make fish faces for photos?

Then we went to the Mall.  There’s a playground there that is quite fun.  But when it’s busy, it is not only small, it is often overrun with unsupervised 12 year-olds.  I don’t like them, and because they’re 12 they are often very unobservant and run into the little kids who actually belong at the playground.  This Sunday was busy, so the playground was overrun. That brought a bit of good fortune to Tara and Tim.  You see, there’s also a Build-a-Bear store right by, and they cleverly roped off the back half of their store and brought in four different bounce-house-ball-pit-giant-inflatable-slide-type deals.  And charge $5 a kid.  And while it was a little pricey, It really is a fantastic time.

A tiny ball-pit room off a big bounce room. Tim can't stop asking when we're going back to the bounce house room.

Plus we did venture into the playground area for a little bit so the kids could sit in the coin-operated cars.  They love those.

Aw...what a sweet picture.

Tara's practicing being a woman front seat passenger. Even smiling politely while Tim is indignant that he's an excellent driver.

And then we ended the day with carousel rides.  What could be better?

Side by side horses. They have never picked those before. A notable development in their siblinghood.

You mean like those kids shown in the back of the puppy pic with the blue and white top ready to pounce over the top of the WALL that is supposed to be a toddler slide? :) You mean you don’t like those kids? I would never guess why!? I despise those unsupervised kids too…

Great pictures…and captions!!! (hehehe) And yes Virginia…boys do make faces at the camera … mine still do …. but my kids are weird, I’m sure Tim will out grow it.

AND that driving picture is HILARIOUS!! Just Priceless!

Tim appears to still be a bit camera-shy. He’s not looking toward the camera in any the photos.

How fun! I hope they always remember that play area with a bit of awe - like the penny riding horse outside City Market from my youth. It was always such a big deal to ride it.

Y’know, if they’d serve beer there, moms could go shopping all the time and dad would be happy to sit with the kids.
