So. Tim wanted to put on big-boy-underwear a few days ago. And when there is any interest at all in potty training, we run with it. Out came the teeny boxer briefs. And Oh. My. Goodness. That boy is adorable!

Who knows if this will actually be the beginning, or if we’ll stall out and have to give it a rest and come back to it in a month or two. He knows when he needs to go potty. And he dances and prances around. And goes back and forth into the bathroom a bunch of times. And then pees on the floor. Because while he knows all he needs to know and senses what he needs to sense…he’s afraid of the toilet. He sits down (or stands, we’ve tried both) and all the sudden freaks out and starts crying that he’s scared…
Ha! He’s adorable. Sorry about the toilet fear. Is Oscar the Grouch still on Sesame Street? When I was little I used to hang my butt in the toilet and rest the seat on my back and pretend I was Oscar. TMI, huh?
Oh my goodness, he is adorable! Really a little man now!
I can guess why he’d be afraid to sit…fear of falling in maybe.
He’ll get it…very soon….very soon!
You remember your toilet training? That’s amazing!
I do remember putting a Cheerio in the toilet for my boys…giving them something to aim for…and you know boys and their love of games at all ages. That’s why you’ll find a box of Cheerios in my bathroom medicine cabinet today.
Hehe! Didn’t Brent say that Daniel cried whenever he pooped because he was shocked and dismayed that something like that came out of him?
Oh, those briefs make me want a little boy!
My mom did the cheerio thing for my brothers too. They also have little stickers you can stick in the bowl to aim for. Teeny boxer briefs are so cute
