I’m that Mom. The one that tries to make the cute treats.
But at least I’m not always that Mom. And in my defense, I don’t do it because I even think twice about what other kids bring for snacks. I do it because I really think it’s fun to send snacks that go well with the preschool theme for the week. It’s the teacher in me. And I like the challenge. So I’m not really that Mom. And I’m certainly not trying to be that Mom. Who would?
Last week, when it was Tara’s turn to bring snacks, the theme for the week was Nursery Rhymes.

Enough said.
Let me know how many kids eat the egg, okay? Very clever!
Tara told me that 7 of 12 ate the egg. Not bad, I say!
That is AWESOME!!!!!!!! Way to go Beth!!! I like making fun treats too…because I like playing with food…but since my kids have grown up…my cute snack creations have taken a slightly gruesome turn…just ask them…or Brad…Yikes! Who will I leave my twisted snacks to at my new job?
(Ooooo….I’m getting all itchy thinking about how I would edit Humpty Dumpty if I was going to leave that as a snach for my kids….or Brad)
That’s great!

Very nice, Mrs. Pester (your post about titles has stuck). But, since I know I’ll never be that dad, when my boys are old enough to bring snacks to school, chips and soda-pop are good, right?
That reminds me that this past Sunday we had a dinner after church and the main course was meatloaf. The meatloaves (is that plural for meatloaf?) each had hard boiled eggs cooked into them, so when you had a slice, there was also a cross-section of a boiled egg. Isn’t that strange? I’ve never seen it before.
Were they supposed to eat it ‘a bite of egg with a bite of krispie treat’? Isn’t that how Brad eats corn on the cob? Bite of corn, bite of butter.
