A couple boxes arrived in the mail a few days ago. Boxes that I would have died for as a kid. Boxes that Tara just swooned over. Boxes of hand-me-downs. Beautiful, beautiful clothes, just right for Tara.
My cousin Joel and his wife Patty have girls who are 8 and 9. I accepted Patty’s very gracious offer to mail some clothes the girls had outgrown…and Tara is LOVING. IT.

We love opening our boxes here, too. Next week is the designated week for opening up the fall boxes. We can’t wait!
Susana was blessed with an older friend who gave her a lot of stuff (including dozens of barbies) over the years. And I should say that we were blessed, because it saved us piles of money!
Oh handmedowns, it’s how I survived childhood! I don’t think I had more than one outfit that wasn’t worn by one of my five siblings or thousands of cousins at one point or another. My baby just hit the jackpot as well with tubs and tubs of clothes up to 4T from a very spoiled cousin of his. We won’t have to buy clothes for YEARS! YAAAAAY
