After birthday burn.

My birthday was most excellent.  And even better, the celebration seemed to continue through the weekend.  Here’s the rundown: Playgroup with cupcakes, Prime Rib dinner, cake after dinner, a Saturday birthday party for someone else that seemed to continue my fun, a fun dinner at The Melting Pot, church on Sunday, friends over for dinner that evening, playing at a park and having McDonald’s for lunch yesterday, and then roasted marshmallows in my new fire pit after dinner.  Whew!  What a weekend…and more!

Roasting. I'm teaching the kids to use the coals...Harold is a burn 'em in the flame sort of roaster. The kids don't like black marshmallows.

Not my besst shot, but I thought I should document my presence.

Tara's got burned. And she was disgusted.

I love this shot. Roasting marshmallows in my fire pit.
Mmmm…

(And, happy birthday Deanne!)

Tim is so focused. Wow — he wants that marshmallow to be just right.

    Thank you!

HAHA!! Tara’s expression looking at that pitiful, blackened marshmallow barely still hanging on the stick is PRICELESS!!

Did you get the firepit for your birthday? Dang, I’m coming to NE so I can go firepit hopping!

    Happy Birthday Deanne!

  4. Deanne says:

    Thanks Peggy!

    Happy Birthday, Deanne! :)

    Happy Birthday, Deanne!

Beth, Harold must really, really love you to give you the gift of fire. :)

Is it sweatshirt weather? I love fall. Maybe I’ll burn something today.

  8. Beth says:

The low on Monday was 43 degrees. The high was maybe 70. It has been unseasonably cool here. And Tim is usually cold, like his Mommy. Tara is usually warm, like her Daddy. Thus the sweatshirts on two of us, and short sleeves on the other two.

  9. Deanne says:

Thanks to Karla and Lauren, too!!
