Well. It was time. We went in today for Tara’s first professional haircut. If you remember, she’s had a haircut before. But this time we needed to call in a pro. It was starting to look a bit stringy in the back and needed to be evened out and have the split ends removed. And of course get some pink sparkly hairspray added for charm.
Doreen cut it. I love Doreen. She has been cutting my hair for 17 years now. Since I came here for college. She was the one who took me from my crazy long tresses to my above the shoulder cut after my junior year in college – 10 inches off. You bond with people who do that.
And now her bond with Tara begins…

(I didn’t get an after shot. I don’t really know why. But now Tara’s in bed…so…)
It looks really nice. And she likes the way it swishes back and forth. All told we had a good three inches cut off, but with long hair, it’s always hard to tell. And since it’s still long, mostly it just looks healthier.
Well done, Doreen. You are the haircutting queen!
Seeing pictures of Doreen’s place makes me feel like summer. I go there once a year, around the second week of July. But she’s never given me any pink sparkle spray.
You got some nice action shots! I’m proud of Tara – that’s a big deal to get your first pro cut. I remember how Lloyd cried the first time he got his.
Yay for Tara’s 1st professional experience…may it be the 1st of many! Wait, that doesn’t sound right…you know what I mean…
But how about an after shot? We’re patiently waiting……
