Clean closets and horses.

I spent the entire day yesterday going through all the toys in this house and removing many that are no longer played with, finding all the pieces to things and reuniting them with their friends, storing toys that need to be saved for our garage sale next summer, sneaking a few into a bag for donation to EtCetera (which is probably where they came from in the first place), and throwing away broken things.  It was very productive.  I was tired of it by the end though.

The most notable difference was this:

The toy closet before:

It was a mess. And I don't like messes.

The toy closet after:

Now then. That's much better.

Many things found their proper homes after being shoved in there hastily in the past weeks. Some things found the trash.  And a few found renewed life in the toy world.

I actually started this process for two reasons.  One, we get new windows tomorrow.  So, check back on Wednesday for pics of the process.  And two, I found something at a garage sale for a dollar, and it needed a home.

Tim loves it. But I didn't a good shot of him on it. Because I kept missing his smile. He's into saying cheese for a milisecond and if you miss it, you miss it.

Cute isn’t it?  Tim loves it. :D

(And Happy Birthday to my sister-in-law Michelle!)

Well done! That looks wonderfully fun - a little toy store in your closet.

The horse is adorable, too, but what is Tim always saying? It won’t show up on my computer.

What happened to poor Elmo? Is he crying on a shelf in EtCetera?

Congratulations on achieving so much…and in 1 day!! Are they dispensing speed in Seward?

Elmo is downstairs in the stuffed animal party tent. It’s much more fun down there.

Did you have all the toys put themselves away while you sang “A Spoonful of Sugar”? That’s how Mary Poppins would have done it.
