We got back yesterday afternoon from our little mini-vacation. We had originally planned to go to Omaha for a couple nights in a hotel and a trip to the Omaha zoo, but acting out of frugality, we decided to just go to Lincoln. I had tickets for the kids to get in free to the Lincoln zoo, and the Lincoln Children’s Museum, and got a pretty nice on-line rate for the Embassy Suites in Lincoln. The zoo, museum and pool being the vacation for the kids…the hotel being the vacation for me, and Harold being happy with whatever made everyone else happy. He’s a good guy like that.
Here it is. In pictures.

And perhaps the most important accomplishment of the entire vacation…

Welcome home!
Yay for staying in a hotel. I love hotels! I’m glad to see Tara can tame butterflies. I have lost the talent.
And that last picture… HAHAHA!
Ya know…..that last picture ruined your vacation for me (I know that doesn’t matter). When I saw the toilet picture, I was hoping it was a Caddyshack moment and the opject would be a candy bar. But unfortunately I read the caption. jibblee
Anyway….I am happy for Tim, and even more for you and Harold.
Way to go, Tim!!
That looks like an absolutely fabulous vacation. I am totally on board with the hotel+pool=vacation. That’s the only part of a vacation that any preschooler has every shared with me, so yes – do it close to home! Woo-hoo!
Yay for fun vacations & for pooping in other people’s toilets!
I LOVE the picture of T&T in the big red chair & Tim’s expression watching the DVD is PRICELESS!!
