The 4th of July Recap. 2009.

It started crazy early.  Mom, Brad and I met up to get in line to take a tethered ride on a hot air balloon.

We were there early enough to be the first ones in line, and to see the balloon be inflated.  And then, of course, be the first riders.

Inflating.

Inflated.

FIRST! in line.

Test run.

That's Dad by the golf cart. We should have left at least one camera on the ground.

It continued with lots of walking around downtown, eating carnival-style food, and watching the parade.  And I didn’t take a single picture of any of that…

But we walked home after the parade and by the time we arrived we had this:

Sleepy Tim.

Which quickly turned to this:

Crackling Balls. My favorite firework. Stop laughing.

Smoke bombs.

Running through the smoke bomb smoke.

Magic Whip.

Because fireworks are fun enough to wake most little boys up. :)

Happy Birthday USA!!
