The remains of Tara’s FOURTH birthday.

Here’s how it all went down:

Heee! Presents!

Impressive that she started with the little one first, isn't it?

WOOOOHOOOO!!! That dollhouse I've been dreaming aobu tand asking about for SIX months!!! WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!

And furniture for that house! Weeee!!

And then snacks for preschool.  There wer also cupcakes, lest you think I’m some sort of crazy health-nut mother.  Um.  No.  But, it was also the Easter party at preschool, so I did pink eggs in a little nest of “grass” to supplement the cupcakes.  And to appease the crazy other preschool moms who might be dismayed by having cupcakes as the only snack.

Tara learned how to peel an egg, so she could help her friends. She was very proud.

And then a fun dinner out at Godfather’s.  Pizza and more cupcakes were had by all.  Oh the fun!!  :D

A table just for the big girls. Eva (not really pictured), Tara, and cousin Anna.

Clockwise from the bottom left: Harold, Alicia, Deborah, Adi, Tim, Grandpa Royuk, Daniel, Grandma Royuk, Grandma Pester, Grandpa Pester.

Happy birthday Tara…and now on to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch today. :D

Excellent!! Oh to be a kid again!! And I LOVE the Royuk tradition of spreading out the celebration of one’s birthday over days…sometimes weeks (cough-Brad-cough).

Oh and AWESOME eggs!!! Way to go Mom!!

All the girls in Tara’s class have names that end with a vowel. And there’s only one boy? I know how you feel, Tristan. I know how you feel.

True on all counts. And Tristan is hell-on-wheels. Everyday is a new “Tristan was in time out because…” story.

At least you were smart and clever and all the girls were in love with you.

I can’t see/hear the name Tristan without being carried back to my youth, watching “All Creatures Great and Small” on PBS (from BBC). Peter Davisson played Tristan and I had a serious crush on him.

Cute eggs! What is the grass?

Shredded lettuce.
Tara tells me the kids really liked it. Even the lettuce. Except Jaci. But apparently Jaci doesn’t eat hardly any snack ever brought. She’s picky. Her poor mother.

And her name rhymes with Tracy. Jay-Cee.
