So, what happened at Jill’s?

Tony and Jill moved in about 7 months ago, and Jill has been working on that house - painting and remodeling and rearranging and raising two kids and adjusting to life off a military base…it’s been a whirlwind.

The whole family was out of town for a week and it’s former and latter weekends…and I decided to sneak in…the process of getting in was a comedy in itself…They locked the doors, I didn’t have a key, neither did Jill’s Mom, Tony’s brother was out of town…but finally…

I regret to tell you that I didn’t remember my camera, so I don’t have many before pictures, but I recruited Lauren to help me a bit, and she remembered hers, so I do have some after pics.  Read the captions…

I painted their office a smoky blue. Lauren helped.

See.

Nevermind that I look psychotic. I'll sacrifice my pride for you to see the completed color.

I hung her pictures on her dining room wall.

 See.

I don't have a before picture, but it was more or less a transformation in the kitchen with the addition of an orange table cloth, curtains, a bit of rearranging...and I hung a couple of her pictures.

I didn’t get pics, but there was also some rearranging of furniture in the living room, the hanging of a wreath, the addition of curtains to her kids’ room, and a new bedskirt for Kayla…

I love doing stuff like this.  It was so theraputic for me to get in there and do stuff for my friend.  I’m quite certain I benefitted more than Jill, because I really do love to do stuff for my friends.

Happy Thanksgiving, Jill.  Happy Thanksgiving friends!

Can you come over this afternoon and put up my Christmas tree, pack up Anna’s too small clothes, and get her big girl room ready? ;)

Good work! It’s beautiful!

Beth you are THE BEST. The only trouble I have is deciding how to thank you properly. Until you mentioned all that has transpired in the past 7 months, I was feeling rather depressed at how little (it seems like) I’ve done. Your changes make it feel more like home. I needed that. It gives me motivation to keep going. Thank you so much. And Lauren, thanks for your help, too. You guys did a great job!

That third picture makes this entire post! Thank you for including it. I got an abdominal workout from it. Which is good, because that will be my only exercise for the next two weeks.
