It happened like this. Last Thursday Tara was especially excited to finally have Bobbie willingly sit on her lap. So I took a picture to document the event:

What I didn’t know at the time is that I was taking a picture of her very long hair…because that all changed on Saturday.

I ran in to Lincoln to get a baby gift and wander around the mall a bit. And I returned to this:

Which resulted in needing to do a damage control haircut. And that, quite fortunately turned out to be DARLING. See:

Her hair will grow. She now has a cute little cut that is shaped around her face. And it really is darling. (Thank goodness. Because I was a little sick about it at first.)
HA!! That’s hysterical!! I mean because it turned out so lovely in the end, I mean really that cut is adorable, this could only happen a Royuk, only a Royuk….and LOVE the D’oh face…she makes an excellent Simpson!!
It is just lovely! Isn’t it amazing how sometimes kids really know best? I should listen to kids more often. Maybe the whole world should. we would all have great hair!
Heh – damage control That haircut is Cute with a capital Q!! I’ve had my fair share of little girls chop their hair every so often. Unfortunately, I wasn’t the mom, but had to explain it.
Youch! I would have cried. But it’s all good in the end – great job dealing with all of it, Mom!!
If she ever does give herself a crew cut, just make sure she knows not to leave any corners.
Could have been much worse! Such a cute cut!!
Too cute! It looks so much healthier that way.
You certainly had a better outcome than what happened to one of our 5-year old twins at church. He came down from Sunday School with a Dennis-the-Menace-like chunk sticking out of the top of his head. I felt worse for the Sunday School teacher who turned her back for a second!
