There’s nothing like the look of pure joy on the face of a kid.
Tara’s half-birthday was October 7. We have been waffling about getting her a bike for Christmas or for her 4th birthday in April. Mostly waffling because we didn’t want to get the smaller size only to have her outgrow it in two months, but the bigger size is just a bit too big right now, and we don’t want her first experiences on a bike to be scary because the bike is too big. So, we were waffling…but she had the opportunity to borrow her friend Eva’s bike for a few (actually QUITE a few) days, and in the end, we decided to get her a bike for her HALF-birthday. She’s ready, she rides it EVERY DAY, she can and will still use this small size for a while…and this way, we can get her the bigger size for her 4th birthday in April and she’ll probably be ready for it…or maybe wait until Christmas…either way…she has a bike. Pure joy.

She also got some beautiful sparkly headbands from her friend Eva. Again, pure joy.

And Tim. Well, he’s loves his Mommy. What more can I say?

Yippee!!!
I like her headband style! She’s rockin’ it like Olivia-Newton John in that photo!
Yay for new bikes!! Boo for the busted knees, elbows, faces, gouged out calves, & tire marks down your back.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the picture of you & Tim!!!!
I just wanna squeeze him…..
I sure miss the days of when mom was the queen of everything *sigh*
Ack! Every time I think of Olivia Newton-John I get “Hoplessly Devoted to You” stuck in my head. I’ve tried to comment here three separate times today, and the song has stuck with me all three times.
It could be worse…you could have this song in your head:

Holy Crap! That song is horrific!! Everytime she hit those high notes my whole body starts to convulse.
Awesome!! It is always fun to get a bike. You should have gotten the bigger bike. Didn’t every kid have to learn on a over sized bike?
