Clubhouse painted. Check.

I’ve been meaning to paint this for about three summers now.  It’s an awesome swingset with a clubhouse that we inherited when Brent and Sandra moved.  The house they moved to had this set, and they had a set that their kids preferred…so…we got this one.  Awesome.  But it so needed a paint job.  See:

Faded primary colors. Cute, but not clever.

After three years of wanting to get it done, I finally did.  I decided to paint it like our house - to be clever, and to make touch up easy.  See:

Cream with white trim and dark brown porch/floor. Clever (even if it isn't cute).

I also installed a corded phone for Tara’s enjoyment, and soon, we’ll have a flower box on the front (fake flowers, though, I don’t need to worry about watering real ones, or rotting the flower box, for goodness sake!).

Clubhouse painted.  Check.  (I have a few more things on the list for this summer, we’ll see how many more checks I can make.)

I think you should start referring to it as The Condo or your vacation house.

The swing part on that set works just fine. It’s also great for keeping Tim away from the paint while Tara paints the flowerbox (and the lawn).

So what’s going to happen when you decide to get siding on your house? ;)
