Garage Sale. Check.

I have been saving stuff for a garage sale for at least the past 3 years.  Seriously.  Since we have storage space, it wasn’t much trouble to keep saving things, but I decided a while ago that this summer was the time.  Purging must happen.  And so…

A garage sale.

I probably should have taken a bunch of pictures of the set up.  I was too busy getting organized, I guess.  My clothes hanging apparatus was really quite genious.  And having been to a gazillion garage sales myself, I know for a fact that kid’s clothes sell better if they are hung and not just piled on a table.  Sell better indeed.  I cleared a bit over $350.  Job well done.

Evidence of both my labor and its fruits. Two pages full of stickers of sold items. Cha-ching!

And many thanks to my friends and family for contributing, helping and even opening a little restaurant on the front lawn.

WAY TO GO!!! I’d have a yard sale tomorrow if I thought I could clear that kind of cash … so what was your best item for sale?

And do you think having a impaired brother around, helped or hurt sales?

OK Beth – I’m looking at your nice little stickers all arranged with little lines through them and I’m thinkin’ … OCD? Reminds me of … me!
Congrats on the success. I remember those days when the kids were young and we were trying to get the most for our Little Tikes and Fisher Price items … good times, good money!
