New shoes.

I don’t buy tennis shoes often.  In fact the last pair I purchased was over 5 years ago.  Not that I haven’t worn a pair out in that long…actually the two pairs I have had since were either purchased by someone else (thank you Jill), or I got them at the Lincoln Lutheran General Store (read, LL Lost and Found about to be taken to Goodwill).

Harold and I went to Lincoln a couple weeks ago to do a bit of shopping with our Bush Bucks (read stimulus check), and he wanted new tennis shoes.  For him, tennis shoes are an occupational investment.  He’s a Weightlifting/PE teacher and coach, he wears them every day.

While he was shopping, I was wandering and aimlessly perusing…that’s always dangerous…and I found these beauties:

Never mind my freckle-y legs.

Did you know that tennis shoes come with little arch support inserts for those of us with above average arches?  So cool.  And they have just a touch of beautiful green…I love them.

Or my blue veins...I'd make a great road map of major surface veins in humans...

Hehe (Bush Bucks; which by the way I haven’t received yet … what’s up with that?)

Love the shoes! I don’t buy tennis shoes too often either because it’s hard for me to find a pair I like … too many of women’s tennis shoes look like mens shoes. These are great!

(And the legs are fine …last night at a cookout, I won 2nd place in “Who Has the Whitest Legs” :(

I’ve recently been looking for some new tennis shoes. I’ve seriously been thinking about Crocs Axles, but I can’t find them in person to try them on.

I, too, have not received my funny money. Of course, mine will all go in the cat fund.

Bush Bucks – nice. :) Our money went to pay for Arron’s Lazy Boy that we got right after his back surgery. I used the rest to buy a camera lens I’ve been eyeing for a good six months. It’s sweet.

  4. Karla says:

Peggy, at least you didn’t win first place!! :) There’s someone with whiter legs than you!

  5. Jill says:

Ok, my memory is horrible. I bought you shoes? Or was it a different Jill? I hope it wasn’t me because I have no recollection of that gift. If I did buy you shoes, well…you’re welcome. :-)

  6. Beth says:

Indeed, you did buy me shoes. (Sorry my response was slow…)

  7. Lauren says:

Good thing I wasn’t there – I would have won Grand Prize! (And hopefully a bottle of fake tan.)

  8. Peggy says:

Yea, but the guy that got 1st is an albino … but I like to ignore that fact.

  9. Karla says:

    Oh, ouch. Sorry about that…
