It’s been a year…

…since I’ve painted a room in our house.  It was Tim’s room, and about this time last year I was preparing for Tim’s arrival, and thus needed to get his room painted.

I LOVE painting rooms!  L.O.V.E.  And so, I’m itchin’ to paint something…  I would totally paint the basement paneling (because I detest paneling), but Harold likes it, and painting paneling is a pain.  But, I have been toying with the idea of painting the top half of the Steelers office a nice gold.  The bottom is black, and it just makes sense to paint the top gold.  Harold thinks it will make him look like a lunatic/fanatic.  I think it makes me look like the coolest wife in the world.  ;)

Black below the chair rail, gold above. Perfect.

I think your idea is BRILLIANT! It would look so totally awesome … you’d be the coolest family in Seward … I’d only make one change … paint the top1/2 purple!

  2. Annette says:

Yes, I agree with Peggy, otherwise the Steelers may become the Sunflowers

  3. Beth says:

And you think it would look better if the Steelers became the lilacs?

  4. Peggy says:

Silly girls … of course a darker purple looks best with black … let me show you

I’m not a big painting fan, but maybe I just don’t know how to do it. Itching to paint… Is that like Itching to clean?

  6. Brad says:

You could just paint the top part black. Then EVERYONE would be happy: You could pretend it was Steelers colors, Peggy could pretend it was Ravens colors, and Harold could pretend he was just emo and not a lunatic/fanatic. Perfect!

  7. Lauren says:

Always the peacemaker – eh, Sampson?

  8. Beth says:

But then I wouldn’t look like the coolest wife in the world! And it’s all about me in the end, so the “pretending it’s Steelers colors” part of your plan just won’t cut it.
