Stolen thunder…

So, I had this post ready to put up yesterday, but then life happened…two kids, rushing around after church, Easter Bunny visiting…*sigh*.  It’s not nearly as cool a post as it would have been if stupid Brad hadn’t stolen my thunder.

Two yolks.  But mine have real size egg yolks next to the twins for comparison.  (I’ve never had twins before, so I was really excited…until stupid Brad had twins…*sigh*)

Twins at the bottom, singletons across the top...

What are the chances that we both would have double egg yolks? I’ve never seen doubles in my whole life, and now I see two pairs in one day. Is it a sign of the apocalypse? “…rivers will run red with blood, and egg yolks will double in number…”

That truly is a sign of something - too strange of a coincidence. Has anyone talked to Brent? Did he encounter any double yolks yesterday?

Here’s a weird thing - I had double egg yolks last week, but I didn’t take a picture of it. Do you think the chickens know something we don’t?

Maybe the government is concerned about the declining birth rate and is putting fertility chemicals in the water. Watch out, all you married people! A surprise pregnancy could be in your future!

Bite your tongue and bite it hard!
I’d be more concerned about that water you drink at school!

Really, what are the chances? I sure hope these double, double yolks are signs of luck & not doom for the world!

BTW Beth: What did you make with your eggs?

Comment by Beth on March 24, 2008 at 11:18 am

Scrambled cheesy eggs. It’s a favorite in this house. With bacon on the side. And grapes.

OK - you had me licking my lips up until the grapes part! Why would you ruin a perfectly good meal with fruit? Was the bacon burnt and crispy? That’s the way I like it.

I didn’t eat the grapes, Tara did. I’m not a fruit person, I’m a veggie person. So, indeed, I did not ruin a perfectly good meal with fruit!
And, yes, my bacon is ALWAYS crispy, with a bit of burn. Yummy!

Hey, those egg yolks make a little smilely face in the bowl! Brad couldn’t do that. Good job!

Thanks Karla! I needed the pep talk! :D
