I give you…tater mitts in action…

Here it is.  Potato mitts in action!  (Read the captions…)

 The potato.

 Pre-mitting.

8 seconds. It's apparently going to take a bit longer...

 1 minute 13 seconds.

2 minutes 9 seconds and lots of scrubbing the little divets in the potato...

I highly recommend them!  (For a gift at your next white elephant gift exchange party…)

Are you sure these aren’t actually “exercise mitts”? Peeling a bag of potatoes would be a _______ of an aerobic workout? You could do 1/2 the bag with the gloves on your hands & 1/2 the bag with the gloves on your feet.

Had I not known you were doing potatoes, I would have guessed that you work for the haz-mat dept.

So… how long did it take?

That’s a big difference from their claim of 8 seconds! The “As Seen on TV” people should change the packaging: “Peel a potato in two minutes and nine seconds!” Maybe they could put a colorful “2:09″ graphic all over the box or something.

The pictures are hilarious!

I looked up Tater Mitts right after you got them because I was so jealous. Apparently you’re supposed to par-boil the potatoes before you peel them? So I want to know if you can dip your hand in boiling water with those gloves, fish out a potato, then throw it back in. Otherwise, that’s a lot of craziness. It makes a great post, though!
