A lawn mower for Jill.

My friend Jill and her husband are currently living in North Carolina.  Tony is in the Marines and they are stationed at Camp Lejeune.  When they moved, they decided to keep their house in Seward and rent it out.

Just recently, the lawn mower their renters were using died…and the yard…well, when it rains every thrid day for two weeks, you can imagine the yard.

Last Thursday I found a mower at a garage sale.  See:

It even has a bag - which will be nice for the first mow of the forest.

 And a new front tire.

It works well, was cheap, and it’s a Snapper.  Who could beat that?  So here, Jill, your mower :D .

  1. Jill says:

Thanks again for hunting down the mower. As I’ve said before, you’re the best! Good luck to the mowers…the job will be a nasty one, that’s for sure.

  2. Beth says:

Yea – good luck to them, that’s what they get for living in Seward and not finding a mower to borrow. Sheesh, it’s Seward, you can’t tell me they don’t know someone who owns a mower. Stupid people.

  3. Lauren says:

I’m glad you said something about it. I didn’t know the kindest way to say that that mower looks in worse shape than ours – and that’s saying something!

  4. Brad says:

My mower has been in the shop for almost three weeks now. I’m mad at the guy, but afraid to complain because I don’t want him to loosen the blade so that next time I mow it comes off and takes my left foot off. I guess I’ll just have to keep calling and being nice. Stupid lawn mower repair shop guy…

Meanwhile, my grass continues to grow.

  5. Peggy says:

“The squeaky wheel gets the attention. 3 weeks is waaaay too long … what are they doing to it? You gotta get tough!

(And left feet aren’t really that important)

  6. Lloyd says:

Unless you have two of them.

  7. Beth says:

Just for the record…the lawn is mowed now, and it looks lovely.
