Sun Tea.

I like sun tea.  And, for the record, I can taste a difference (unlike beer and champagne, please see Lauren’s post…I’d include a link, but it takes time and I don’t feel like it right now).  And, since our house faces west, our front porch is a most excellent spot for brewing sun tea in the afternoon…mmmmm…sun tea.  I really prefer sweet tea (being a  southern belle by birth), but I usually leave it  unsweetened for the benefit of my Nebraska born husband, and nearly all our friends who are great plains people (with the exception of Lloyd, he always enjoys my sweet tea, my much-too-sweet-tea, you’ll have to ask him about his Uncle’s tea…).

Fresh brewed, by the sun!

It’s sun tea season.

If only we could get the sun to make our beds, too, then it would be earning it’s keep!

Hmmm … not being much of a tea drinker, I prefer my ice tea from a cannister, just add water & stir … but if your’s is sweet, I might light it. Send me some will ya?

  3. Lauren says:

Light it? You can’t smoke this stuff, Peggy.

  4. Brad says:

I often brew it on the stove. Four cups of water, six or eight tea bags, heat until it almost boils, add ice and water. I think it’s safer than the sun. You do know that it’s thermonuclear radiation you’re brewing your tea with, don’t you?

  5. Peggy says:

    HA! oops … like it.

    Ha! oops … like it.

BTW: What makes yours so sweet Beth? Just the amount of sugar you add? I like my ice tea sweet … with sugar.

  7. Beth says:

Yes…lots and lots of sugar. More than I measure – or even admit to. Lots.

  8. Peggy says:

    Mmmmmmmmmm …
