Peggy, it's because the Fourth of July is a freaktacular celebration in Seward. Something like 50,000 people descend on this town of 6,000 residents. Parking is difficult, and the streets must be clear for the annual parade. So some signs are up for the parade route, while others (like this one in front of Beth's house) help with keeping streets from becoming clogged with parked cars. You all should come to Seward on the Fourth this year. It would be fun! You guys are so mean…

Peggy, it’s because the Fourth of July is a freaktacular celebration in Seward. Something like 50,000 people descend on this town of 6,000 residents. Parking is difficult, and the streets must be clear for the annual parade. So some signs are up for the parade route, while others (like this one in front of Beth’s house) help with keeping streets from becoming clogged with parked cars.

You all should come to Seward on the Fourth this year. It would be fun!
