Today, April 20 (which I realize is now yesterday to most of you, given my posting time), is the anniversary of our engagement. Nine years ago. Funny how saying (or writing, as the case is) nine years doesn’t sound very long at all.
It’s a good story, unfortunately I’m tired and don’t want to type it all out. In a nutshell, Harold picked April 20, because it happened to be payday and he knew I’d be in a good mood, and he hid my ring in a rose, and had a gourmet dinner of frozen pizza and red wine all prepared for me…it’s a good memory, and a little funny.
We don’t have any idea when our first date was. We have narrowed it down to November or December of 1995, but since we never had that “first date” date, I’ve always been fond of celebrating our engagement anniversary…admittedly we don’t usually do anything, and most years we’ve just been lucky to see each other. Today was one of those years. It’s 10:25pm and we haven’t even seen each other today…good thing we’ll have about 50 more to celebrate, right?
Happy Engagement Anniversary, Harold! I love you!

Whaaat? YOU can’t remember something?
Happy Engagement Anniversary anyway!
And I can’t let this post pass without saying: Embrace the Mom-ness! Hehehe…
Hey Brad, teach me how to grow roses with diamonds in them. The only thing in my roses are bees.
I think that is very sweet! You can’t have any true romance without frozen pizza – that’s in Emily Post. I can’t remember the date of our engagement anniversary, but I’m pretty sure it was in 1990. or 1991.
