Watching snow.
Tara loves snow. Loves. Yesterday we had the most unusual weather day, sunny, then cloudy, then snowing like crazy for about 12 minutes, then sunny again, then windy, then cloudy, then sunny…well, you get the idea.
During the weird snowing like crazy portion of the day, Tara just stood at the door gazing out into the beautiful outdoors saying, “Snow. Snow, Mommy, snow. Snow. Snow, Mommy.” And in the blink of an eye it was gone. And Tara said, “Where go? Snow, Mommy, where go?” How ever do you offer an acceptable explanation to a 22 month old? Indeed, Tara, where did the snow go?

You could tell her that the ice crystals experienced a change in state. Most of them would have melted, though some might have sublimed. Send her to Uncle Brent. He’s a Physics geek. He probably could explain it better.
I love the first picture … it’s a perfect “back of the head” shot …of course another one of my oddities is that I love “back of the head” pictures of babies & little kids … I have quite a few of my kids … looking at the Christmas tree … looking out the window … sitting in their walker with their little head sticky up so innocently … as a joke my guys gave me a picture last year of them (all grown up) looking out a fake window at the portrait studio … they did it as a joke … but it actually turned out quite good … so they ordered a 5 X7 … (I know the white coats are after me, but I’ve done a pretty good job dodging them thus far)
Yea, I’m a “Back of the Head” person, too. I won’t even admit to how many pictures I took of her at the window before I got the one that was perfect…
How did she like our little snowstorm today? No disappointments there!
She LOVED it! We were at McDonald’s during part of it and the giant windows were aewsome
