If it were Baltimore City you would have to appear for sure. They summons like 900 people and 400 show up. If the County is similar, maybe you should get writing on those sub plans…

Beth – I just received my first jury summons ever! My husband gets them a lot. My number is seven hundred something, so there’s a good chance I won’t even have to appear, but I guess I better be writing sub plans just in case! The date is March 28th. If I didn’t have to worry about missing school, I would probably like it.

Here in Seward, they just call you, and then call your Mom and then send an officer to your door to get your lazy butt out of bed to make your appearance…at least that’s what happened to the poor kid who forgot last time, and man did he have a hangover!

Listen missy, we’ve got honest to goodness criminals here! Just a few weeks ago it took 13 armed officers to arrest a man in a wheelchair for holding up a teller at one of our bank windows!
TRUE STORY! (Never mind I’m pretty sure the windows are bullet-proof glass…..sigh!)
