A little known fact was reported about Prof. Serck, staggering up the hall in TLEC. Rumor has it that she ingested too much beer bread. H-m-m-m, I wonder where the beer bread came from????

She totally is serious. Last week, she had all the kids making Long Island Iced Tea. The week before that, they all rolled their own cigarettes.

As requested:

3 c. flour (all-purpose, not self-rising)
3 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 can beer (or any carbonated beverage for that matter)

Mix together dry ingredients. Add beer. Batter will be very lumpy. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.

Easy.

Yeah, you can't post about a recipe and then not give the recipe. I think it's a man law or something.

Can you make some for our Thanksgiving breakfast on Friday?? Yes, THIS Friday....I think it will be a great conversation piece when the children speak of their dad's, "who like to drink beer!" Maybe, they are really "baking with it!??"
